Frequently Asked Questions
About Perscription skincare:
What is Prescription skin care?
Prescription skincare (also known as Cosmeceuticals) is a class of topical skincare products which contains significantly higher concentration of active ingredients (such as Vitamin A, Vitamin B,C, Hyaluronic Acid, AHA etc) compared to non-cosmeceutical (over the counter) skincare products.
Why can I not buy Prescription Skincare from beauty stores in shopping malls?
Due to the higher concentration of the Active Ingredients, Prescription skincare products can irritate the skin or cause allergic reaction. Therefore, they cannot be sold directly to the public in shopping malls and have to be prescribed by appropriately qualified skin professionals.
Do Cosmeceutical products deliver superior clinical results in terms of skin rejuvenation and other common skin concerns such as sun damage, pigmentation, tone, texture etc?
Absolutely. Cosmeceutical skin products are like prescription medication. They are far more effective than non-cosmeceutical skin products found in high-street stores. They deliver clinically proven results when used correctly.
Due to the higher concentration of active ingredients; the Prescription skincare product actually work on the cellular biology of the skin cells.
Non-cosmeceutical skin products even though feel and smell good and may hydrate the skin to a degree; they are usually not able to deliver any clinically proven results which are visible to an average user.
